However, they emphasize the need for clear justification of component selection, robust statistical analysis plans, and transparency in reporting individual component outcomes to ensure the integrity and interpretability of trial results, as highlighted in FDA guidance documents on clinical trial design. The EU  [MDR](/terms/mdr-reporting) also implicitly requires clear, objective, and statistically sound clinical evidence, which applies to the use of composite endpoints.
